Hey bloggers & friends!
Its been a very long time since I last published my article, I guess its almost 2 years!!! Well what can i say, had to complete my college, projects, work and more! Phew! I Logged in today just to see whole lot of comments from you all which were not moderated so I published them first, because thats my first priority :P

Well guys there's a lot of house cleaning to do with my blog and also I got to get use to the new interface(didn't try it yet though), it can take a little time but hopefully I'll be back in a few days with some more good articles and try to catch up with you all. I was really happy when i checked the page rank for my blog which went up to 2! Really thank you guys for adding my blog to your's I'll definitely add yours as soon as possible.

Finally guys its adios' for a few days while i get my blog up and running!

This is one day i cant forget, Woke up to hear the news that my dear friend was no more. We were one heck of a group and now we are "one less". We will all miss you ra Ramana.

I still remember the way you smile and walk and the fun we had when we were together and the "actually" word that you always repeat. I think of the days when we all used to leave school and every one used to look at us in awe, as we all wore badges on our chest, you were all captains and vice captains and i was the class leader, yet you never listened to me and i got fed up one day and went to sir to complain about you.!

You were one person who would sing the song that i used to hum in my heart and i used to be shocked as to how you did that.
One day we talked for so many hours that my mobile's battery got so hot that i was scared that my fingers would burn if i touched it! And the fun part about that was "we were arguing if light travels faster than sound" the whole time. You were one of the person who again forgot to wish me on my birthday this year. I wanted to scold you for not wishing me this year but how can i?

My last birthday with you was really weird, we all spent my birthday at Central book shop! and you actually forgot that it was my birthday that day! I got so angry that i didn't talk with you.!

Looking at you today brought tears in our eyes, your dad was trying to wake you up as you were lying there but you just wouldn't!

I still cant believe that your not with us, i still refuse to listen to my heart, i know you wont be here to read this and i still don't know why I'm still writing this. I really wanted to meet you soon after the exams but i never thought I'll be seeing you the way i saw you today.
I just wish life never took this cruel turn on you, life is really unpredictable and today i have seen it. Have so much to talk but you are not here, the one truth that we all have to live with from now on.

Rest in Peace my dear. We'll cherish every moment that we all spent together as best friends. Miss you ra. We all miss you.

It has been just weeks(almost 5-6) when Google updated PR. I came across a post at dailyblogtips regarding the same, many people claim about their PR being moved.

Well my PR is currently at 2 and how about you guys? Any changes in your PR?

I think we all have to keep an eye for the next Update, it can be unexpected just like the one 3 days ago.

The Federal Trade Commission is after Bloggers!!

Many blogger's out there have been enjoying "Money Making" by writing paid posts, affiliate links and the like. Now Guess what? The Federal Trade Commission(FTC) is going to bring strict rules against this issue!

Because of the scamming all across the Internet the new "FTC Regulations" will be up soon. These new regulations will put most of the small time blogger's out of business for sure!

Izea's PayPerPost program was one the targets of the FTC, we all know how payperpost has been generating a good income for many bloggers(including me) and also helps advertisers in promoting their products. But Izea defended itself as it requires a "Disclosure Policy" for the blogs which state that some posts(or all of them) are paid for.

So if a blogger fails to have a disclosure policy stating the same will be on the not-so-good side of the FTC. Guess what! Even the company will be held responsible for that!

The FTC says that the rules will be strict and will extend even to the practice of affiliate links! So blogger's I reckon you get your own Disclosure policy soon, I have got mine and I guess based on these new so called guidelines of the FTC, changes will be made even to that!

Hmm..There is this recession and now FTC, what next?

Well i wish FTC all the luck(as they need it) since they will have to deal with an ocean of blogger's!

Blogger Post Title Swap for SEO

Well guys its been a long time since my last post and here i am back with a well known hack for blogger which is used by me and most other bloggers for the sake of SEO.

Generally when you upload a blog template you would notice that in the search results for your blog post the result would appear as

BLOG TITLE | POST TITLE

But with a simple hack you can make it more search engine friendly. That is

POST TITLE | BLOG TITLE

Now all you have to do is go to the EDIT HTML in the Layout section. But before you do anything to the template code, as again its wise to back up the template, so that any mistakes can be corrected.

Now within the blog template code, search for the code which says

<title><data:blog.pagetitle/></title>

Now replace that code with

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;item&quot;'> <title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title> <b:else/> <title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title> </b:if>

Now Save your Template and its done!

Setup your free domain

Are you creating a new blog? or Do you wish to change your default .blogspot.com to your own domain for free?

If the answer is Yes then .CO.CC is the best answer for you. You can create your own personal domain name(www.yourdomain.co.cc) for free. You can also register upto 4 domain this way without no additional cost.

You can register yourself at .CO.CC by clicking the link here. Now Type the Domain name which you want to register, if that domain is available then click Continue to registration.

Click on set-up and then Manage Domain. Now go to Zone Record and in the Host Column type the domain which you have registered.

Now in the Type select CNAME and enter its value as ghs.google.com

As we have set-up the domain, we now have to redirect the blogspot to the new domain. For this log in to your blogger account and go to Setting->Publishing. Here select the option Custom Domain.

Here select the one that says Switch to advanced settings now enter your registered domain(even here don't forget to include the www)

Enter the Word Verification and Save Settings.

In 48 hours you have your own new domain!

Create a Link Exchange Form

Hi people,
Today I'll be telling you a simple way to create your own Link Exchange Form with ease. You might think that you have to deal with Text-Boxes, Buttons and all but you can do this without having any knowledge about HTML.

And did you know that you can create this form using Google Docs? That's right, you can actually create the form there. Follow these simple 6 steps...

Step 1:

So first open Google Docs.

Step 2:

Click New and then select FORM from the Drop Down menu. Now enter the name for the form and also a little description if you want to tell the visitor how to fill the form or something like that. You can see an example in the image below.

Step 3:

In the Question field enter URL, this specifies that the visitor has to enter the URL of his/her blog/website.

You also have a Help text area where you can tell the visitor to enter their URL.
Let the Question Type be as Text. Now tick(check) the box where it says "Make this a required question". This generates an error when the visitor leaves this field blank.

Step 4:

Now move to the 2nd Question in the bottom. If you don't have it go to Add Question in the top and select Text from the Drop Down. Repeat Step 3 but change the text in the question field to Title. If required tell the visitor what to do in that area.

Step 5:

Repeat the step 4 again and create Reciprocal Field where the visitor is required to enter the URL where he/she placed the link to your blog/website.

Save the form after all the fields which you need are created.

Step 6:

Go to More Actions from above and select Edit Confirmation. This paragraph appears when the visitor to your blog/website submits the form.

Now again to More Actions and select Embed. Copy the code and return to Blogger.

Create a new post and embed the code in the post. Now Publish the post.

You now have a professional Link Exchange Form!

Additional tip:

If you want to receive email notifications when a visitor submits the form, do the following.

Go to See responses which is just beside the More Actions and select Spread Sheet. Now on the top you can see a Share field. Click that and go to Set Notification Rules. Now

Today me and my friends were just sitting in the bus returning home from college and suddenly one of them told me to switch on the Bluetooth. As soon as I did I received a message from "Bluetooth" which said "Hi"

I soon recognized that my friend had "BlueJacked" me.

I think you now understand how it works, So now what is Bluejacking anyway?
Well all I can say is "Surprising People", ya that's true! When you Bluejack people they are usually surprised thinking to themselves "What the heck? Where did i get this message from?"

Technically Bluejacking is the way you can send messages via Bluetooth, Not possible? Well yes it is(that's why we call it Bluejacking! Duh!)

Still a skeptic are we? Well I'll show you how you can do this on your own. But promise me not to get on people's nerves while doing so! And I don't take any responsibility for any physical damage done to your body by the person whom you BlueJacked!

Now as you have obeyed me, now get your bluetooth enabled phone and switch it on. (Don't worry i cant bluejack you from the computer :D)

Go to contacts and select the option to create a new contact, Now in the name field type the message that you want to send to the victim.

Eg: Hi Buddy, do you know that you are BlueJacked?
or something scary Like I CAN SEE YOU!!!

Now save it. Since your Bluetooth is ON, have your friend beside you switch on his own bluetooth. Now send the contact that you created to your friend via bluetooth. Now as soon as he accepts it he'll see a message from Bluetooth and the content will be the message that you sent.

Your friend has officially been Bluejacked! and now you can proudly call yourself a bluejacker. You can do this on a large scale if you are in a shopping mall many people tend to leave their Bluetooth ON.

For this work you either have to be paired with the device you want to send or the victim must accept it. Naive users tend to accept anything you send, so give it a try.

There are some software's available by which you can do this directly. But I wont talk about them here.

Fake Google website is No More!!

If you read my other article "Google Stolen", I think Google has taken action against the fake website and it is no longer available on the Internet. I tried to open it but to my surprise a website of "Lorem Ipsum" sprung up!

To those who haven't read the article yet, here is what happened, The website called Baradla.com actually copied the interface of Google. If you opened the site while it was still available, you would see the Google search engine loaded.

Well now all is well and hope there are no such fake websites trying to copy others and who might know that they might changed their domain to some other!

Trouble Posting HTML in Your Blog Post?

This is really a big problem using post editor of Blogger, unlike WordPress which allows you to to write in HTML Blogger does not allow you to.

You might have seen that when you insert a HTML tag in your post it wont be seen and worst case is that your whole blog layout might be tampered! This happened to me once when I accidentally put the HTML tag which made my entire sidebar slide beneath my posts! Ha ha..but I finally found a way to get rid of it.

Here is what you have to do:-

When you write HTML tag in the post editor you have to use values instead of tags. That is, you have to replace:

< with <
> with <

For example : If you want to display the break tag </br> you have to write it as </br>

But this is just for those who want to try it on their own, they most easy way is to use the website utility called Postable. Open the site and copy paste the entire HTML code in the text area provided there and click "Make It Friendly".

Uploading a New Blogger Template- A Complete Tutorial

Well guys i have seen many people around still confused on how you can actually upload a blogger template, so this is for all the newbies of blogger.

Installing a blogger template is really a piece of cake, you can either insert the traditional templates offered by Blogger(which are really very boring) or download some super cool templates from different websites which offer templates free of cost!

So lets begin our "Quest to install the Blogger Template"

Well Firstly you must know if the template you are using is a classic template or an upgraded template. It is recommended if you have an upgraded template installed, so in order to see which kind of template is installed just login to your blogger account.

Now just observe the dashboard, if you see Layout then you have an upgraded template installed, else if you see Template a classic template is installed. So if you see Layout as an option skip this step.

Steps to upgrade the template:-

Now in order to convert to an upgraded template click the Template option.
In the top you can see Customize Design, Click UPGRADE YOUR TEMPLATE. Now select any template from the below list.

Now this is the start of the actual Tutorial:-

So now that you have an upgraded template installed, you have to change your boring template to something more "beautiful and cool". So in order to do that first you have to download a "beautiful and cool" template.

You can find some good templates if you do a google search but let me make it easy for you by suggesting some websites where you can find good templates for your blog.

After you find a suitable template and downloaded it, come back to Layout Section of your Blog. Now click the Edit HTML on the top. Now before you install the new template its always wise to back-up your old template in case something goes wrong(Those annoying BX errors)

Before you install the template just read this tutorial on how you can back-up your widgets. This way you'll have all the widgets safe and you can install them back when you upload your new template. Read how you can Back Up Your Widgets.

Now click the Browse Button and select the template you want to install. After selecting click UPLOAD. You'll be warned that the widgets are going to be deleted, but since we have made a back-up of our widgets click Confirm and Save.

Hey guys so many of you might be familiar with this one. By this trick you'll have the pink slip to all the black list racers like me. This is really a simple trick that you can implement to snatch away the pink slips of the black list racers once you defeat them. So here is how it works

As you defeat the Black List racer, you'll be given two markers to choose from. Now here is what you have to do.

**First select the marker to the extreme left of your screen. Now depending on that marker you'll have to choose the second one to get the pink slip.

So if the marker you choose(the extreme left) is a "cash bonus" or a "get out of jail" then the pink slip to the black list is the 3rd one.

If it is others like "impound strike" or so then the pink slip is the second one.

Lucky enough many of the times the pink slip is the left marker itself! Using this trick i have all the black list racer cars!! Try and see for yourself.

Hey guys I'm really happy to see that my PR went from PR0 to PR1. I was really excited as the last time this update occurred i went from PR1 to PR0. But now I'm back.

Having a PR1 might be less but its worth for me since my blog is just months old, I guess I've been blogging seriously for around 4-5 months now. So this is my reward.

So what do you think about love? Sacrifice or Compromise?

To explain this you need to understand that thin line which separates these two. If you ask me then I'll say Love can never be a Compromise.

Love brings out the person in us who shows us our true self. We never make sacrifices thinking "Why should I sacrifice for that person?"
This is be the reaction of a person not in love. In each and every word of his, its all about I Me Myself.

But when you hear people in love you'll always see that its not about an individual. Its never Me, never Myself.

Sacrificing little things can never harm us. Especially doing it for the one we love the most. Doing it might be difficult but its all worth while when we see the love and care radiated on our beloved's face (And lets not forget that cute little smile and the glow in their eyes)

It can be a small thing that you have done but its impact is intense! We never think we are sacrificing because we just do it unknowingly. It just happens.

But why can love not be a compromise? The word itself says it, Compromise!
To give you an easy example, its more like two people had a hell of a fight and came to a decision saying you keep out of my way and me yours.

Love is never that way. Its not a BUSINESS DEAL between two persons saying "you do this and I do this". Making Love a compromise can shatter your relationship into such tiny pieces that you'll waste your whole live trying to join them.

Format Your USB using NTFS

As you know, by default in Windows you can only format your USB through FAT32. But with a little tweak we can even format our USB using NTFS.
So What is the need of formatting using NTFS?

The first and the foremost thing about NTFS is performance, compared to FAT and FAT32 NTFS offers you a good performance, you can also encrypt your data which is not possible using FAT/FAT32. You can also expand the memory using Compression.

Now that was a small information on NTFS now lets start what we were meant to do now :

Firstly make sure your in the administrator account on your PC. Now go to Device Manager. For this right click My Computer and select Properties(or just click the Win+Pause/Break), then click the Hardware tab on the top and then click Device Manager.

Make sure you have plugged in your pendrive. Expand the Disk Drives and right click on your USB drive and select Properties.

In that select Policies tab on the top and select the Optimize for performance button and then select OK.

You're done!

Now to format using NTFS just right click your USB drive and select Format, in the File System drop down select NTFS and format.

Back Up Your Widgets

This is one the most Frequently Asked Question (F.A.Q) by most of the Bloggers.
"How should I back up my widgets when i upload a new template?"

Well there are actually two ways this can be achieved, as usual one is the very easy way and the other one a little complicated.

In this post I'll tell you the easy way and in a day or two I'll write about the second way in which you have to deal with the widget code inside the template.

So here is the easiest way to achieve this :

Lets assume that you have not installed the new theme,

Firstly log into your blogger account and go to the layout section. You will see all your widgets there.

Now what i want you to do is click edit on the widget you want to backup. Now you can see the code of it. Copy the whole code using Ctrl+a.

Open Notepad or Wordpad, paste the widget code there, do this for all the widgets you want to backup.

Give each widget its name above the code in the Wordpad or Notepad so that you wont be confused as to which widget it actually is. Now upload the new template and when warned that the widgets will be deleted select Confirm and Save.

Now after uploading the new template go to layout section and click "Add a gadget", now paste the widget code from the Wordpad or Notepad.

What is an RSS?

RSS has been around for more than a decade. RSS Stands for Really Simple Syndication and Rich Site Summary.

Many of us use RSS but are not familiar with what it actually is, so let me tell you a brief thing about RSS. It provides you with summaries and headlines which are usually in a language known as XML which is an acronym for Extensible Markup Language.

RSS provides an excellent facility by allowing the users to read the content of his/her favorite website without having to visit it. Now this is only possible when he/she has subscribed to that website/blog content.

Now you might ask me "You said this is in XML so how can i understand it after i subscribed to it?"
The answer to it is simple when ever you subscribe to it obvious that you have select a reader. This reader has the capability to convert XML to human readable language.

So you might feel that there is no more use to RSS than being updated with the latest content of the website. But did you know that you can actually use your website's RSS for online marketing of your blog/website?

Add a Search Widget to your blog

I've been doing some modifications to my blog lately and as I installed the new template I've seen that it does not have any search widget. Now this can be a problem to some readers who would like to search my articles on the blog.

So to those who want to use a search widget on their blog can follow this simple tutorial. After this tutorial you'll be able to put something like

on your blog.

Log into your blogger account and go the Layout section.
Now click Add a Page Element after that select the HTML/Javascript

Now paste the following code in the widget.

<form id="searchThis" action="/search" style="display: inline;" method="get"><br /><input id="searchBox" name="q" size="25" value="Search here..." type="text"> <input id="searchButton" value="Search here.." type="submit"><br /></form>

Now save this and place it according to your desire.

Optional changes :

If you want to increase the size of the search box, just change the size="25" to the size you require and also if you want a "Go" instead of "Search" you can change the value="Search" to value="Go" or something else of your choice.

If you are familiar with your blog design then you can even put this code in your blog template above the header or the place you feel comfortable with.

Slumdog today creates History and made India proud today by winning a grand 8 Oscars.. Starting off with the Oscar for Writing(Adapted Screen play) and then for Cinematography, It then lost one Oscar for Sound Editing which went to the movie "The Dark Knight".

But right after that India came with a bang bagging 4 Oscars one after the other for Sound Mixing, Film Editing, Music(score) and Music(Song). The Music(song) category had two nominations for "Jai Ho" and "O Saya" of which "Jai Ho" won the Oscar.

Last but not the least Slumdog won the Oscar for Directing and then the Biggest of them all for the Best Motion Picture, closing the night with a Big Bang..!

I know there are many Windows Media Players lovers out there, but one of the drawback is that WMP does not play FLV files. These we usually play using Real Player or K-Lite Codec pack.

Well now there is no need for that, because there is a small plugin which you can download and which will let you play FLV files right in your Windows Media Player.

This program installs and registers FLVSplitter by Gabest. It binds FLV files to Windows Media Player, enabling playback of FLV files by double-clicking them. This day I have completely tried to change my blogs design with this template and what's more?

You can see that i have myself a cool favicon. Now don't ask me what it stands for! Its a secret.

So did you ever wanted to create your own favicon and make your blog/website unique?
Now I'm gonna teach you how you can create or generate your own favicon and upload it into your blog template.

Getting started :

Now get yourself a unique image which you want as your favicon, now we need that image/pic to be resized to 16x16.
I know its way too small but what can we do, we ought to follow the rules right.

If you want to make your own favicon then you can use Photoshop, If you have no idea how to use the Photoshop but still want to create your own favicon then I got a solution for you. Read this tutorial on how you can create your own favicon.

So for those who already have an image, we have to resize it to 16x16 as i said before.

You can use the online favicon generators like Dynamic Drive or Favicon
Now once you have downloaded your favicon, you have to upload it on any image hosting website.

Now copy the link to the favicon and go Layout->Edit HTML on your blog.
all you have to do is insert the following piece of code just before </head> tag of your blog's template.

Baby-faced Alfie, who is 13 but looks more like eight, became a father four days ago when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman gave birth to 7lb 3oz Maisie Roxanne.

He told how he and Chantelle, 15, decided against an abortion after discovering she was pregnant.

When they were spotted on the road together, Bajrang Dal activists confronted them and asked them why they did not stay off the roads. The activists were stumped when the lovers said that they did it deliberately to be caught and married off with full security.

“It is not that they did not have money; they just did not have parental support,” said Mr Bharat Vamsi, media in-charge of Bajrang Dal in Bhagyanagar.

To make good their ‘threat’ the activists conducted the marriage of the lovers according to Hindu rituals at the Bajrang Dal party office in Koti. To make it foolproof, they also got it registered.

Though Bajrang Dal leaders also telephoned the parents, they asked the newly married couple not to come back to their respective houses again. Both are residents of Mallappalli.

But it was a joyful occasion for the lovers. “We had wanted to get married for some time but were unable to,” said Vijayanandam. BD activists have decided to find a house for the couple near their offices.

In other cases things took a cruel turn when couples were chased and beaten up, Valentines card being burnt. Two siblings on a motor cycle were caught and harassed by the activists, they refused to listen that they were brother and sister.

No more Rs.500 Laptop?

Disappointing news to all the people who were expecting the Rs.500 laptop

TIRUPATI: The much-touted laptop for the masses said to have been built by students of Vellore Institute of Technology that would cost a mere Rs
500 actually turned out to be only a computing device.

Making this clear at the inauguration of the national Mission on Education Programme organized by the Union HRD Ministry here on Tuesday, joint secretary N K Sinha said the computing device is 10 inches long and 5 inches wide and has been priced at around $30 at the event. However, he refused to comment as to why was it being projected as a laptop when it was not.

The so-called laptop actually turned out to be a storage device containing megabytes of data info which can be accessed by a user by connecting this device to a laptop. It meant that unlike the internet, this device can display that information that has already been stored.

Some delegates at the exhibition claimed that with the help of this device a laptop caosting about $60 can eventually be manufactured. But for now at least the $10-laptop turned out to be damp squib.

Well guys this was really a tough day for me, I messed up one of exam paper, got tensed a lot but now I feel like blogging and forgetting what happened today.

So I was just going through the forums where i saw this news about the laptop which is about to be released in India which costs just Rs.500 !

The UPA government has planned to release this "ULTRA CHEAP" laptop for youngsters who are pursuing B.Tech, and other studies.With elections being just round the corner the media is just of one voice saying

This is a good way to woo young voters

We can't complain though, since this is about to be released before the elections. But don't you think that a laptop for Rs.500 is too less ?

We would give give Rs 2.5 lakh per institution for 10 Kbps connection and subsidise 25% of costs for private and state government colleges

says the Government.

So let me tell you more about this, This low cost or should i say "ultra low cost" laptop is developed with the help of Indian Institute of Science (IIT), Madras and students of the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT)
The laptop can be charged with a low 2-watt power input and has a 2GB Ram capacity! ( I would really love to own one! )

So guys finally Dream come true after 3yrs of work on this project. Hats off to all the guys who worked on this project and making India proud.

I'm sorry to inform you all but the laptop was on display in Tirupati on Febuary 3rd ( well I had my exams you know ) so sorry for the late news !

Fix for AVG 8.0 "Invalid Update Control CTF File"

So this is one problem that I've had since a few days and had no idea how to deal with it. Last time when i had this I had to re-install AVG anti-virus and then it was solved, but now I have found an easier way by which you can get rid of this problem when ever it occurs.

Firstly you have to change the folder setting so that you can see all the hidden files and folders, if you don't know how its done just read this article here.

Now navigate to the following path C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\avg8\update\download

The easier way would be by pasting the path in the address bar and click enter.

Now delete the files which have the extension as .ctf, and finished..

Update your AVG now and you can see that updates have started again without any problem, so the next time you come across this problem just repeat the above steps.

Switch from FeedBurner to Google

I was just reading Dailyblogtips and came across this news update that all the FeedBurner feeds will now migrate to Google.

Google has acquired Feedburner on June 1, 2007 and now they have finally decided to move from FeedBurner to Google and the deadline to all the users is February 28, 2009 ! And if your account has not been updated then all your feeds will be returning either a “404 Not found” or “301 moved”.

Moving your account from FeedBurner to Google is not a “Big” thing, all you have to do is just click the link which appears on the top which says “Move your account now” as soon as you login to your FeedBurner account.

So when you click the link it will ask you for your Google id by which you’ll be signed in and the transition starts and the time taken to move all your feeds depends on the number of your feeds, so if you have a large feeds then it can even take hours for the transition. Since this process is carried out by the Google servers, you can close the page at any time.

After completion you’ll receive a mail saying that the transition has been successful.
As soon as this is done you’ll have to login from the new Feedburner.

I recommend all the user to migrate right now as this news will be spread like rapid fire and mostly by the starting of February all the users will start their migration and it might take a lot of time in this process.

Hide your Folders like a Pro

This comes really useful when you have your computer being shared by more than one person.

There are lot of software's available on the Internet which hide your folders but Its of no use because the other persons will definitely come to know about the software, and might even tamper it or worse if he is the administrator he might even uninstall it !

So why to be so insecure when we have the command prompt on our side which can do this for us without even letting other people know that a folder has been hidden

All you have to do is open command prompt i.e., go to run and then type cmd and press enter.

Now suppose the folder that you want to hide is named as 123 and it is located in the C:/ drive,

So type C: and press enter

Now type the following code :-

To hide the folder:

attrib +h +s foldername

To un-hide the folder:

attrib -h -s foldername

Easy and effective!

Note: You cant detect this folder even if you do an advanced search of your computer and also it wont show up if you un-hide all your hidden files and folders, so take care not to forget it.

Scare Your Friends with Pop-ups

Well i love playing pranks, and this one is sure to make your friend go Ahhhh!!!

At the end of this “tutorial” you’ll be able to make your own creative pop-ups and use them to scare your friends or just make reminders for yourselves.

So lets start, you just need to use notepad for this and a good sense of humor.

First open notepad and type the following piece of code into it

Save this file with any file name of your choice with an extension as .vbs

I created my pop-up as pop.vbs

So the two code’s here create two message box’s which appear one after the other, so now the first code generates a text box as shown below

And the second code generates a text box as

And those numbers which you see in the code i.e., 52 in the first and 16 in the second create text box’s as shown above, you can see that giving a number 52 creates a text box with a warning symbol and 16 gives you a text box which has an error symbol

If you use the same code as mine then these two pop-ups appear one after the other, the first window appears first and waits for you to click Yes or No then you get an error sound (ding) with the second text box.This will surely freak your friends out.

Well you can even put reminders in this form and put the shortcut to the files in the start-up, so you get these reminders on every boot.

If you just want an OK button instead of Yes/No you can use 48 in the first code.

Use your Start Menu for speed increase

Most often i find many users crowd their desktop with icons, this makes your computer speed decline and the system's start-up very slow. Try not to put more number of icons on your desktop rather just use only those which you use frequently ( and i mean very frequently )

I just have around 5-6 icons on my desktop which i have need almost every time. I use my start menu to put all the programs which i use frequently but not as much as i use those on my desktop.

This way i avoid crowding my desktop and i have my computer's performance.

Let me tell you how you can use your start menu in an effective way :-

Firstly you need to configure the start menu and clear all the icons there, so for this go to Taskbar and Start Menu Properties right click on the start button and select properties

now you'll get a window as shown here select customize

Now you'll get another window as below :

Now in this first click the Clear List now set the Number of programs on Start menu as 0 and also uncheck the two boxes which are under Show on start menu.

The upper section which says "Select an icon size for programs" is dependent on the user, if you have to put more number of programs on your start menu then select "Small Icons" or if you have around 14-15 then you can select "Large Icons". I have almost 20 icons in my start menu which i always have use of.

Now select "OK", go to the start menu and you'll see that there is lot of space to put all your frequently used programs, this way you don't have to search for your programs in the "All Programs" section.

TIP: If you have more number of icons in the start menu, try to arrange your icons alphabetically so that you can get to your icon easily..

search in the folder search for file named "title", now copy this file to any of the directory and play it.

Why is the media here so negative?
Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our
Achievements? We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success
Stories but we refuse to acknowledge them. Why?
We are the first in milk production.
We are number one in Remote sensing satellites.
We are the second largest producer of wheat.
We are the second largest producer of rice.

Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a Self-sustaining, self-driving unit. There are millions of such achievements, But our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters. I Was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the Day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The Gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths, were inside in the Newspaper, buried among other news.

In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime. Why are we so NEGATIVE? Another question: Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? We want foreign T.Vs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign Technology.

Why this obsession with everything imported. Do we not realize that Self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this Lecture, When a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked her what her goal in life is. She replied: I want to live in a developed India . For her, You and I will have to build this developed India . You must proclaim. India
Is not an under-developed nation; it is a highly developed nation. Do you have 10 minutes? Allow me to come back with a vengeance.

YOU say that our laws are too old.
YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage.

YOU come back to the parking lot to punch your parking ticket if you have over stayed in a restaurant or a shopping mall irrespective of your status identity... In Singapore you don't say anything, DO YOU? YOU wouldn't dare to eat in public during Ramadan, in Dubai . YOU would not dare to go out without your head covered
In Jeddah . YOU would not dare to buy an employee of the telephone exchange in London at 10 pounds ( Rs.650) a month to, 'see to it that my STD and ISD calls are billed to someone else.'YOU would not dare to speed beyond 55 mph (88 km/h) in Washington and then tell the traffic cop,
'Jaanta hai main kaun hoon (Do you know who I am?). I am so and so's son. Take your two bucks and get lost.' YOU wouldn't chuck an empty coconut shell anywhere other than the garbage pail on the beaches in Australia and New Zealand .

Why don't YOU spit Paan on the streets of Tokyo ? Why don't YOU use Examination jockeys or buy fake certificates in Boston ??? We are still Talking of the same YOU. YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign system In other countries but cannot in your own. You who will throw papers and cigarettes on the road the moment you touch Indian ground. If you can be an
involved and appreciative citizen in an alien country, why cannot you be the
same here in India ?

Once in an interview, the famous Ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay , Mr.Tinaikar, had a point to make. 'Rich people's dogs are walked on the streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place,' he said. 'And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect the officers to do? Go down with a broom every time their dog feels the pressure in his bowels?

In America every dog owner has to clean up after his pet has done the job. Same in Japan . Will the Indian citizen do that here?' He's right. We go to the polls to choose a government and after that forfeit all responsibility. We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do
everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative. We expect the government to clean up but we are not going to stop chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick a up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin. We expect the railways to provide clean bathrooms
but we are not going to learn the proper use of bathrooms.We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least opportunity.
This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service to the public. When it comes to burning social issues like those related to women, dowry, girl child! and others, we make loud drawing room protestations and continue to do the reverse at home. Our excuse? 'It's the
whole system which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my sons' rights to a dowry.' So who's going to change the system?

What does a system consist of ? Very conveniently for us it consists of our neighbors, other households, other cities, other communities and the government. But definitely not me and YOU. When it comes to us actually making a positive contribution to the system we lock ourselves along with our families into a safe cocoon and look into the distance at countries far away and wait for a Mr.Clean to come along & work miracles for us with a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave the country and run away. Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to America to bask in their
glory and praise their system. When New York becomes insecure we run to England . When England experiences unemployment, we take the next flight out to the Gulf. When the Gulf is war struck, we demand to be rescued and brought home by the Indian government. Everybody is out to abuse and rape the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is
mortgaged to money.

Create a Shutdown "Virus"

Scare your friends with this cool trick This uses a code which is used to shutdown the computer and we can use this as our "VIRUS" So lets start.. Firstly right click on your desktop or any where else and select "New" then "Shortcut" Now you get a window, so type shutdown -s -t 40 -c "ViRuS UpLoadIng"

So let me tell you what this code says

The "-s" stands for shutdown.
"-t" lets you specify the time to shutdown ( here in the above the system will shutdown in 40sec.
"-c" lets you type a message which you want to display during the time.

You can type any message in the place of "Virus Uploading" but it should be enclosed in the inverted comma's

Now Click next and give a name for the shortcut like "New Folder" as i have taken it.

Click Finish and you'll have something like this

We are not done yet, as you can see anyone will recognize this file to be a fake so lets make it more realistic by changing its icon

So what you have to next is right click the shortcut and select properties now from this select "Change Icon"

Now give it a suitable icon as i have done below

After selecting you'll have the "virus" like this

So when anyone of your friends click this expecting it to be a "New Folder"

See what happens

Now the computer will shutdown depending on the time given in the command
you can also modify the command as u want and change its name and icon to your desire by right clicking the shortcut and going to its properties..

So if you want to stop the computer from shutdown
Go to "Run" and type "shutdown -a"

So just open Notepad and then type "bush hid the facts" without the quotes and save it as you want..

Now exit it and open it again and see what happens to your text

In Notepad any 4-3-3-5 combo of words will give you the same results.. For example you can also type "asdf asd asd asdfg" (4-3-3-5) without the quotes
